Erica Albright – Will I Always Be Known As Mark Zuckerberg’s Girlfriend?
I know that Mark has another girlfriend and the two of them seem very happy together. I’ve actually met her a few times when Mark and I were dating and she’s very nice. But since “The Social Network” came out, people are still asking me if him and I are going to get back together. So for once and for all, I’m going to set the record straight.
I do not want to get back together with Mark. Not that there is anything wrong with him I just don’t have much in common with him. We do talk every once in a while but we’re not Facebook friends or anything. I’m not friends on FB with him mainly because I don’t want a gazillion friends on FB. (I’m not Erica Albright on FB)
A lot of you have been writing to me and asking if I have a boyfriend. and the truth is: NO! I’m sad to say that I haven’t found prince charming yet. I admittedly am pretty picky. I definitely like a man to charm me, wine and dine me, and I like them to be kind of geeky. 
But I also consider myself to be a pretty cool chick too! I’m not super high maintenance, I like to do fun things, and I just want someone to do fun things with me!
Whew! Did I just go on and on about my perfect guy?! My point is that Mark and I will never be together again and I am single!
That does bring up a good question though; I have been set up on blind dates, random dates, and been setup by friends. But the one thing that I have never tried doing is finding love through a dating site. You know, sites like eHarmony.com and Match.com? I have heard really great things about these sites.

go your own way. You are a beautiful lady. Don’t identify yourself on your ex-boyfriend. He is past, so focus on future. So I think it’s not good that you create a website, you are mainly talking about your ex-boyfriend Mark Zuckerberg or the past. You are intelligent too and I think you can make your own money…

With all due respect, the tagline for the website is “I’m Erica Albright, Mark Zuckerberg’s girlfriend in the movie The Social Network.” Now I understand that you probably didn’t want to movie to ever come out and you’ve probably found “accidental fame” from it, so to speak. Although you are annoyed that you’re being constantly associated with your ex, which I can tell you I know is very tiring.. its not as if you’ve actively tried to avoid it. This website itself draws attention to that fact, over and over again. In fact, this entire blog is almost solely about Mark..
I don’t want to lecture you on your life, but perhaps focusing on your own career without referencing to Mark might lead to people knowing you for being you and not because of him.

Hi Erica – I just have to tell you, I finished watching The Social Network on television again – and for the record, as a girl – I have nothing but the utmost respect for you.
Here is the bottom line – and this is coming from someone who has experienced life as I’m now in my early forties and FINALLY have found the man of my dreams. Most of us don’t really care about the money you have, or the stuff you own, or the companies you start, or the girls you can get besides us – we care about things like being treated with respect – like chivalry, and common courtesy – like taking a chance and doing things on the fly – saying nice things when it’s warranted and not always when asked. Having fun watching television and going on a walk – doesn’t have to be some exotic land somehwere. Most of us really like the simple things – not all of this crazy high maintenance spend a ton of money stuff that some women who DO like those things tend to project.
Mark Zuckberberg started facebook – but ultimately, what will be his legacy in terms of how he treated people when he leaves here? He can’t take facebook with him – others will take it from him, but what people CAN’T take is what you leave here that defines your character; not what you have in your bank account. He created facebook to connect with people – and the odd thing is, this is what he has the hardest time doing.
In any sense Erica, I just want you to know – I think you are fantastic and stand your ground and be picky. I wish I had been more picky. You deserve nothing less than what you feel you deserve so go out and get it. By the way, I totally by chance met my boyfriend on match.com, and he is truly the man of my dreams and treats me like a queen:) neither of us have a lot of money – but we do love each other, we laugh a lot and know what life is really about. I had a field day when he actually dropped me off in front of a place we were going to when it was raining, and he parked the car. It’s little things like that that I absolutely love:)
