Is Erica Albright, the Ex Girlfriend of Mark Zuckerberg, A Heartbreaking B*tch?

Is Erica Albright, the Ex Girlfriend of Mark Zuckerberg, A Heartbreaking B*tch?

So usually I don’t read all the blogs and news sites that talk about ‘The Social Network’, but today, one just caught my attention. Maybe I’m being overly sensitive today for some reason but I just need to get a few things out in the open.

The movie ‘The Social Network’ really depicts me as being a b*tch. Yeah, I know that Mark wrote that in in public HTML code which is now totally public, but I’m not really a b*tch!

Do you want to know the REAL story about me, the EX Girlfriend of Mark Zuckerberg?

Even though it is really cool that someone played ME in a movie, I am completely the opposite of how I am depicted in the movie. I am smart, funny, sweet (although I do have a naughty side), and I was really in LOVE with Mark! He’s cute and adorable in a nerdy way :)

The truth is that Mark broke up with me. I guess I was getting a bit whiny because he was spending so much time on his computer trying to program different things, but really…I didn’t ask for much.

Mark was a bit of an anti-social kind of guy and I enjoyed going out with my friends. He really needed some help in the girl department; you know, a little help opening up pandora’s box. :)

I’m not saying I’m perfect, but did they really have to make me out to being a total bitch?

So now you know the truth!

What do you think? Is the EX girlfriend of Mark Zuckerberg a heartbreaking b*tch or just a regular girl?

Hi i am pretty sure you wont read this but you seem to be pretty normal. Like you said the story was from his perspective, so most people would wait to decide.

Why did it say you dumped him?

Hey Zak – I’m not sure why they said I dumped him but according to the movie and his “journal” I’m the reason fb was created. Maybe it’s true that he was upset because I know he was and I did say those things to him. So….it’s partially true! :)

I thought your character in TSN was only being (more than) reasonable. The way she was treated in that bar was beyond what any normal female or male would put up with, in terms of abuse.

Hey. I really do not think the movie depicted you as a bitch. Or maybe we analyse things differently. To me he was being an arse and I doubt any woman would stand that kind of a guy. I’m saying this being a guy myself. I know well not to treat or talk to a woman like that. You can’t talk so low of your gf and he studies.

Just saw the movie & oh my word: what an utter disappointment Mark turned out to be :(
What you said to him that night in the bar is soooo true!

    Yuck…

You don’t seem like a bitch on TSN at all, if anything you were depicted as a sweet girl who tried to give an anti-social dipshit a chance. People in general know its a movie, if they confuse a movie as being 100% real life then they probably have issues and you don’t need to concern yourself about it lol.
The movie wouldn’t have ‘worked’ if there wasn’t a focus on (even if it was slightly exaggerated) zuckerbergs social ineptness and frustration and its very interesting how in this day someone who is socially inept creates a site where you have “friends”. I don’t know zuckerberg and I’m not facebook, but Im an artist and I know when you create something there is usually a trace of the creator in the creation, so suffice to say without meeting zuckerberg you can tell in real life he may have been the type of person who prefers to keep relationships ‘in the head’ and ‘at a safe distance’ and the more people you ‘know’ then the better’ even those connections are based on nothing but liking the same random thing. In other words, No heart. You were depicted as the opposite;)

In the movie everything fits together perfectly, which was their goal given the limited information they were given about the situation. I think they could’ve just asked you about it rather than making up a story. Really defeats the purpose of the movie, in my opinion.
I’ve secretly wanted to look up what really happened for a long time, but I kept forgetting and eventually got to it. Turns out you’re not the only one misrepresented, either.
Doesn’t make the movie bad, it’s still very inspirational. Also has a stunning soundtrack that I listen to whenever I want to get productive. Call me dorky for that, but you know ‘Hand Covers Bruise’ inspires SOME type of productivity. :D
